Working Solutions was a high quality, outsource provider of work and wellbeing benefits and related support services to large corporate employers, such as Boeing, Allied Signal, Federated Department Stores, and Microsoft. In order to continue to grow the business, Working Solutions required sizeable increases in both capital and personnel. The owner had received acquisition overtures by several of the largest national work/wellbeing benefits providers and determined that its service offerings would be more successful when combined with a larger organization with complementary product offerings and a national sales force.
Zachary Scott was engaged as exclusive financial advisor to evaluate these overtures and advise the owner on the range of ownership and management alternatives that would facilitate the continued growth of the business and maximize the value to the owner.
Working Solutions was sold in a cash transaction to United Behavioral Health, a unit of UnitedHealth Group, one of the nation’s largest healthcare benefits providers. The owner stayed on to manage the work and wellbeing benefits unit of United Behavioral Health.
