ENVIRON-Metal, Inc., doing business as HEVI-Shot (“HEVI-Shot” or the “Company”) has long been the recognized leader in innovative, high-performing shotshells.  Utilizing its deep expertise in materials science, the Company more recently developed a line of frangible, non-toxic handgun and rifle bullets to supply the growing market for lead-free ammunition.  Recognizing that becoming a market leader in non-toxic ammunition required access to broad distribution through multiple channels, HEVI-Shot’s shareholders decided to explore a sale of the Company to parties that could offer that capability.

ZS Role

Zachary Scott was retained as the exclusive financial advisor to represent the owners in the sale of the Company.

Results

After evaluating various strategic partners, HEVI-Shot was sold to Federal Cartridge Company, a division of publicly traded Vista Outdoor (“VSTO”). The acquisition will add another iconic brand to Federal’s ammunition portfolio.
