Situation

Fratelli’s Ice Cream distributed Dreyer’s, Fratelli’s and other brands of ice cream to retail locations in western Washington.  The pressures by brands made clear that economies of consolidation of distribution were necessary to  continue profitability.

ZS Role

Zachary Scott was engaged to represent the owner of Fratelli’s in a sale to a strategic party.

Result

Fratelli’s was sold to the prime distributor of Haagen Dazs ice cream, Specialty Frozen Foods to create the dominant ice cream distributor in the Pacific Northwest.
