We attended the annual Boston Seafood Show, which is the largest industry event in North America for the seafood industry. It gave us a chance to visit with many company leaders involved in the Alaska seafood industry and with other suppliers from around the world. We had the chance to compare with our new friends at Visir hf the regulatory practices of the cod industry in Iceland with that of Alaska.

At the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute’s (ASMI) reception, the buzz was all around rumors of consolidation in the Alaska quota fisheries, with the impending sale of American Seafoods on everyone’s mind.
